People are often surprised to learn that Dr. Michael Milobsky spent years working in hospital emergency rooms before settling into the kind of pediatric care he practices today. That background — 26 years in pediatrics, including time as both a pediatric hospitalist and emergency physician in Denver hospitals — means he's seen just about everything, which tends to make him a calm, steady presence for worried parents.

He went to the University of Pennsylvania, where he played four years of Division I basketball, then earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1996 and completed his residency there before moving to Colorado in 2000. He's also completed additional training focused on chronic pain, addiction, and mental health in teenagers — an area he feels deserves more attention in pediatric care.



As a father of seven and grandfather of three (with a fourth grandchild on the way), Dr. Milobsky brings real, lived parenting experience to every conversation. When he's not working, he's usually traveling with family or in the gym lifting weights. He also hosts a podcast about parenting and child health.
