 Years ago, doctors routinely made house calls to visit sick children. Today, it’s a rare physician who provides this service. Instead, after-hours health care for an ailing child requires a trip to a crowded and noisy urgent care center or hospital emergency room, where a pediatrician may not be on duty.
Chicken Soup® was founded to provide Pediatric In-Home Urgent Care, serving the needs of parents and children when the doctor’s office is closed. We bring the pediatric office to your door, along with the confidence that your child is receiving expert care from a pediatric specialist. Chicken Soup provides health care to families for a variety of common problems, including ear infections, attacks of croup and wheezing, cuts requiring medical attention, fevers, and vomiting episodes. Rapid strep tests, flu tests, and nebulizer treatments are part of our in-home service. When necessary, our physicians will advise you when hospitalization is the best course of action.
Chicken Soup in-home service is available after 5 pm, 7 days per week. We come to your child’s bedside, any time of night, all night long. To insure continuity in your child’s care, we fax a summary of our visit to your primary care physician on the next business day.
